here first we should multiply 10 and x+1 then add x^2-1
10x+10+x^2-1
=x^2+10x+9
10x+10+x^2-1
=x^2+10x+9

just take 10 out of bracket and rationalise x^2 -1 / x+1 so in denominator you get x^2-1 they just get cancelled and you remained with x-1 so yoir answer would be 10x - 10
