Answer:

hey frnd here is your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

let the two numbers be x and y.

According to your given data we. can write

x=12+y. (bcoz one number is 12 more than other).

x+y=48. (sum of two numbers is 48).

so by solving x=12+y and x-y=48 we get

x= 30 and y=18.

so your final answer is-

Two Numbers are 30 and 18.

I hope you get the right answer

thnx for asking

Solution

Given:-

  • A number is 12 more than other.
  • Sum of these number is 48 .

Find:-

  • These two number .

Explanation

Let,

  • First number be = x
  • Second number be = y

A/C to question,

(A number is 12 more than other )

==> x = y + 12

==> x - y = 12 ------------equ(1)

And,

(Sum of these number is 48)

==> x + y = 48 ---------------equ(2)

Add equ(1) & equ(2)

==> 2x = 48 + 12

==> 2x = 60

==> x = 60/2

==> x = 30

Keep value of y x in equ(1)

==> 30 - y = 12

==> y = -12 + 30

==> y = 18

Thus

  • Value of first number (x) = 30
  • Value of second number (y) = 18

Verification

Case(1):-

(A number is 12 more than other )

==> x = 12 +y

Keep value of x & y

==> 30 + 12 + 18

==> 30 = 30

L.H.S. = R.H.S.

Case(2):-

(Sum of these number 48 )

==> x + y = 48

keep value of x & y

==> 30 + 18 = 48

==> 48 = 48

L.H.S. = R.H.S.

That's proved.
