4 {x}^{2}  + 1 = 4 {x}^{2}  + 4xy + 1 - 4xy \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  {(2x + 1)}^{2}  - 4xy \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \: = (2x + 1)(2x + 1) - 4xy
