x/2 - y/9= 6

→(9x-2y)/18=6

→9x-2y = 108 .

→x=(108+2y)/9 ....(1)

and ,

x/7+ y/3=5 .

→3x + 7y = 105

Put the value of x obtained in (1).

→3(108+2y)/9+7y = 105 .

→108 /3+2y /3 + 7y = 105 .

→36+23y/3= 105

→ 105-36 = 23y/3

→69×3/23= y .

→y = 9.

Put , y=9 in (1).

x =(108+18)/9= 126/9= 14
