  • When the light ray enters in the tub, it will slightly bend towards the normal since it is travelling from optically rarer medium (air) to optically denser medium (water).
  • Then, when it get in contact with the plane mirror fixed in the bottom of the tub, the incident ray will reflect.
  • Then it will again go upwards after the reflection and it will come back into air. In that case, it will bend away from the normal as it goes from optically denser medium (water) to the rarer one (air).
