Area of FEH = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 40 × 80

= 1600 m²

Area of CDEI = breadth × length

= 100 × (80 + 80) = 100 × 160

= 16000 m²

Draw imaginary lines from points F and B which are perpendicular to GJ and IC respectively. Mark the intersection as F' and B'. Now the shape is divided into a triangle and a rectangle.

Area of FHJF' = breadth × length

= 40 × (80 + 80) = 40 × 160

= 6400 m²

Area of FGF' = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 120 × 160

= 9600 m²

Area of BKIB' = breadth × length

= 60 × (80 + 40) = 60 × 120

= 7200 m²

Area of BCB' = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 40 × 120

= 2400 m²

Area of GJA = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 160 × 100

= 8000 m²

Area of GJA = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 60 × 60

= 1800 m²

Total area of the field = 1600 + 16000 + 6400 + 9600 + 7200 + 2400 + 8000 + 1800

= 53000m²
