Answer:

(1) a+b= 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let p,q are roots of x^2+bx+a=0

•°• p+q = -b and pq = a

again let r,s are roots of x^2+ax+b=0

•°• r+s = -a and rs = b

now given

p-q = r-s

=> (p-q)^2 = (r-s)^2

=> (p+q)^2 - 4pq = (r+s)^2 - 4rs

=> b^2 - 4a = a^2 -4b

=> (b^2 - a^2) = -4(b - a)

=> (b-a)(b+a) = -4(b-a)

=> b+a = -4

=> a+b+4 = 0

hope it helps.
