4(x-y)^2-12(x-y)+9
=4×x^2-2xy+y^2-12x+12y+9
=4x^2-8xy+4y^2-12x+12y+9

Given  4(x - y)2-12(x - y) + 9

⇒  4( x - y)2- 6( x - y ) - 6(x - y)  + 9

⇒ 2( x -y) [ 2( x -y) - 3] - 3[ 2( x -y) - 3].

⇒ [ 2( x -y) - 3][ 2( x -y) - 3]

⇒ (2x - 2y - 3)2 .
