siddhartharao77: I think -7 will be the greatest negative integer.
Answered by siddhartharao77
4

Given:

= > x^2 - 4x - 77 < 0 and x^2 > 4

= > x^2 + 7x - 11x - 77 < 0 and x^2 - 2^2 > 0

= > x(x + 7) - 11(x - 7) < 0 and (x - 2)(x + 2) > 0

= > (x - 11)(x + 7) < 0 and (x - 2)(x + 2) > 0

= > -7 < x < 11 and x < -2 or x > 2

= > -7 < x < -2 or 2 < x < 11

The least negative integer is -6.

Hope this helps!
