 {m}^{2}  + m - 20 \\  \\  =  {m}^{2}  + (5 - 4)m - 20 \\  \\  =  {m}^{2}  + 5m - 4m - 20 \\  \\  =  m(m + 5) - 4(m + 5) \\  \\  = (m + 5)(m - 4) \\  \\  either \: m + 5 = 0 \\  \\  =  > m =  - 5 \\  \\ or \: m - 4 = 0 \\  \\  =  > m = 4
