 \frac{x + 5}{2}  +  \frac{x}{3}  = 20

 \frac{5x}{2}  +  \frac{x}{3} = 20

 \frac{5x + x}{2 + 3}  = 20

 \frac{5x {}^{2} }{5 }  = 20

(5 {x}^{2} divided \: by \: 5)

then

 {x}^{2}  = 20

x = 10
