Heya.......!!!!

____________________________

This question can be easily solved by applying the property of Dot product :

- Given in the question that the angle between two vectors is 90° .

We know that = A.B = ABcosθ

In the question :- θ = 90° and Cos90° = 0 .

So we can equate the dot product equal to 0.

=> ( 2i^ + 3j^ + 8k^ ) . ( 4i^ - 4j^ + αk^ ) = 0

=> (2.4) i^.i^ - ( 3.4) j^.j^ + (8.α) k^.k^ = 0

=> 8 - 12 + 8α = 0

=> -4 + 8α. = 0

=> 8α = 4

=> α = 4 / 8

=> α = 1 / 2

We just simply equate the dot product equal to 0 because the vectors were perpendicular to each other and then taken out the Value of α
