Lakamarckism:-

Lakamarckism was proposed by Jean baptiste de Monet lamarck in the 1744-1829 . This theory was based on the principle that all the changes occurring in the individual during life time are inherited by it's offspring .

Examples of lakamarckism:-

1. Evolution of giraffe:-

The ancestors of the giraffe looked like horse witg small necks and forelimbs . they lives in areas where there was no surface vegetation.

2. Aquatic birds with webbed toes:-

Aquatic birds such as ducks are believed to have evolved from terrestrial animals.

3. Flightless birds:-

It is believed that the ancestors of birds such as ostrich were able to fly . due to some environmental changes , they had a lot of food and were well protected . they stopped using their wings and as a result , the wings are became vestigial.
