suppose that.

the no. of students in school X = 4x
and
the no. of students in school Y = 7x

now

according to question..

No. of students in school X = 4x+15
and
No. of students in school Y = 7x-15

again according to question

4x+15 = 7x-15
3x = 30
X = 10

now

students in school X = 4x+15 = 4×10+15 = 55
and
students in school Y = 7x-15 = 7×10-15 = 55

then

Total no. of students in school X and Y = 55+55=110
