Just simple mathematics.....
Two and half litre = 3/2 L ... covers 725 m sq. ..
Let x L cover 2001 m sq. of area....
so...
x × 725 = 2001 × 3/2 ...
x = 4.14 L is required....

725 - 2.5
2001 - x
x = 2.5 * 2001/725
= 6.9.
Hence 6.9litres of paint will be required.
