Let the multiples of 5 be x
Hence successive multiple would be x + 5
x(x + 5) = 300
x² + 5x = 300
x² + 5x - 300 = 0

Now splitting the middle term we have

x² +20x -15x -300 = 0
=> x(x + 20) - 15(x + 20) = 0
=> (x - 15)(x + 20) = 0
=> x -15 = 0/(x +20)
=> x - 15 = 0
x = 0 + 15
x = 15

Now first multiple is 15
second = 15 + 5 = 20
