ans 14
no. of english books = 96
no. of hindi books = 240
no. of maths books = 336
no. of books in each stack = hcf of 96, 240, 336
= 48
no. of stacks of english book = 96 /48 = 2
of hindi book = 240/48 = 5
of maths book = 336/ 48 = 7
ans 15
let age of a be "x" and b be 'y'
then x-y = 2-------(1)
age of a father = 2x
age of b sister = y/2
a/q
2x-y/2 = 40
4x-y = 80-------(2)
on solving (1) &(2)
x = 26 , y= 24
hence age of a=26 &b =24
