we know that total angle subtended in circle is 360°
angle AOB = 90°
so, the area of minor segment of AB = 1/4 of total area of circle
therefore,
area of circle = πr² = (22/7) * (35)² = 22 * 35 * 35/7
= 22*35*(35/7) = 22*35*5 = 3850cm²
total area of circle is 3850cm²
the area of minor segment AB = 3850/4 = 962.5cm²
hence,
the area of major segment APB = 3850 - 962.5
= 2887.5cm²
