The marked price= 6000 Rs
Discount = 4%

Rate of Tax= 12%
Tax is based on marked price
12% of 6000= (12*6000)/100= 720

Here, discount is given

4% of 6720= (4*6720)/100= 269

This is the net discount.
•°• Customer has to pay 6000-269= 5731 Rs

Given, marked price of an item = 6000.

Given, Discount = 4% of 6000.

                           = (4/100) * 6000

                           = 240.

We know that Selling price of an item = Marked price - Discount

⇒ 6000 - 240

⇒ 5760.

Given rate of tax is 12%.

So, the selling price including tax = 5760 + 12% of 5760

⇒ 5760 + (12/100) * 5760

⇒ 5760 + 691.2

⇒ 6451.2.

Therefore, the total amount he has to pay is 6451.2.

Hope this helps!
