cost price of movie ticket = ₹ 400

tax on movie ticket = 28 %

since the tax is levied on cost price of movie ticket . then find the money that a customer has to pay as a tax

= 28 % of cost price

= 28 % of 400

= 28 × 400 / 100

= 28 × 4 = ₹ 112

total amount a customer has to pay to buy the ticket

= cost price price of ticket + tax

= ₹ 400 + ₹ 112

= ₹ 512

therefore , the total amount customer has to pay to buy the ticket = ₹ 512
