Given,  2x^4-9x^3+5x^2+3x-8 by x^2-4x+1 

   
x^2 - 4x + 1) 2x^4 - 9x^3 + 5x^2 + 3x - 8 ( 2x^2 - x + 1
                    2x^4 - 8x^3 + 2x^2
                   ---------------------------------------
                                x^3 + 3x^2 + 3x - 8
                                x^2 + 4x^2 -  x
                 -----------------------------------------
                                            x^2  + 4x - 8
                                            x^2  + 4x - 1
                ------------------------------------------
                                                           - 7


verification of division algorithm :

= (x^2 - 4x + 1) * (2x^2 - x + 1) - 7

= 2x^4 - x^3 - x^2 - 8x^3 + 4x^2 + 4x + 2x^2 - x - 1 - 7

= 2x^4 - 9x^3 + 5x^2 + 3x - 8.
