The answer is:

x+y=6

x-y=4

y=x+4

x+x+4=6

2x+4=6

2x=6-4

2x=2

x=2/2

x=1

substitute value of x in equation x+y=6

1+y=6

y=6-1

y=5

so value of (x,y) is (1,5)
