There is a narrow rectangular plot, reserved for a school, in a city. the length and breadth of the plot are in the ratio 15 : 7.  

let

the common multiple be x  

So,

the length will be 15 x  

breadth = 7 x

We know that :-

Perimeter = 2( L + B )

put the value of length and breath

=> p=2(15x+7x)

=> p=2(22x)

=> p=44x

At the Rate of 100 Rs per meter

=> 44x × 100

=> 4400x

According to the Question

4400x = 44000

x  = 10

Now,

Length  = 15x = 15 × 10  = 150m

breath = 7x = 7 × 10 = 70m

Dimension of the plot is 150m and 70m
