Given,two dice are tossed together .

n(S)=36

a)Let E be an event of getting a doublet

n(E)= {(1,1);(2,2);(3,3);(4,4);(5,5);(6,6)}

therefore,P(E) = n(E)/n(S)

=6/36

=1/2

b)Let A be an event of getting sum as 10

n(E)={(4,6);(5,5);(6,4)}

therefore,P(A) = n(A)/n(S)

=3/36

=1/12
