subtracting 8 from both side
2x+8-8=0-8
2x=-8

x=-4

sorry I can't show you the representation but I can explain
2x+8=0
2x= -8
x=-4
since x is -4 you mark -4 in the the x axis and draw a straight line passing through it.
I hope this helps atleast a little. I am so sorry that I couldn't explain it completely
