15,24 ,Find the LCM and HCF of the given number and check their relationship.

Prime factorisation of 15 = 3 × 5



And,


Prime factorisation of 24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3





HCF of 15 and 24 = 1

And,



LCM of 15 and 24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 ×3 × 5 = 360.

One number = 15



And,



Other number = 24




Product of two numbers = 15 × 24 = 360



LCM of two numbers = 360



And,


HCF of two numbers = 1






Product of HCF and LCM = 1 × 360 = 360.




Hence,


One number × Other number = HCF × LCM..

Finding LCM :

LCM = 3 × 5 × 8 = 120

Finding HCF :

Resolving given Numbers into prime

factors :

15 = 3 × 5

24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

HCF = 3
___________________________

a = 15 , b = 24

a × b = 360

LCM × HCF = 120 × 3 = 360

Therefore ,

a × b = LCM( a,b) × HCF ( a,b )
