 \frac{5}{2x}  - 7 = 23 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5}{2x}  = 23 + 7 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5}{2x}  = 30 \\  \\  =  > 30 \times 2x = 5 \\  \\  =  > 60x = 5 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{5}{60}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{1}{12}

 \frac{5}{2x - 7}  = 23

5 = 23(2x - 7)

5 = 46x - 161

 - 46x  =  - 161 - 5

 - 46x =  - 166

x =  \frac{83}{23}
