by dividing uv on both side

so ,
      8/u - 3/v = 5   ___________ ( let 1/u = x and 1/v = y )
.:    8x - 3y = 5   ----------[1]

similarly , 6x - 5y = 2  ----------[2]

8x = 5 + 3y
x = 5+3y / 8   ----------[3]

by putting the value of [3] into [2]

6[(5+3y)/8] - 5y =2
15+9y/4 - 20y/4=2
15+9y-20y=8
-11y=8-15 
-11y=-7
y=7/11   ----------[4]

by putting the value of [4] into [1]

8x - 3y = 5
8x - 3.7/11 =5
88x-21=55
88x=55+21
88x=72
x= 72/88
x= 9/11
