5(2-y)=3(y+7)
10-5y=3y+21
-5y-3y=21-10
-8y=11
y=11/-8
y=-11/8 is the answer

HEY
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER
____________________________

(2-y)/(y+7)=3/5

(2-y)=3/5(y+7)

(2-y)=3/5 y+21/5

2-y=3/5 y +21/5

-y-3/5 y=21/5-2

y(-1-3/5)=21/5-2

y × -8/5=11/5

y=11/5÷-8/5

y=11/5×-5/8

y=-11/8

checking

put y=-11/8

(2-(-11/8))/(-11/8+7)=3/5
(2+11/8)/-11/8+7)=3/5
((16+11)/8)/((-11+5)/8=3/5
(27/8)/(45/8)=3/5
27/8×8/45=3/5
27/45=3/5
3/5=3/5
LHS=RHS
