Answer:

Given,

x/3+y/4=4 , 5x/6 -y/8=4

4x + 3y/ 12 = 4 , 40x -6y/ 48=4..........find LCM 12 Divide It and multiply coefficients,

4x+ 3y =48............(1),

40x-6y = 192.........(2)

multiply (1) by 40

(40x + 30y = 480) - (40x - 6y = 192)...... subtracting (2) from (1)

(40x -40x) +(30y + 6y) = (480 -192)

24x = 288

-----> x =12.......substitute in (1)

4(12) + 3y = 48

-----> 48+ 3y = 48

-----> 3y = 48-48

------> y=0
