Answer:

Elimination method----->

4x - 5y + 16 = 0 -----(1)

2x + y - 6 = 0 -------(2)

Multiply equation (2) by 2

2(2x + y - 6 = 0)

4x + 2y - 12 = 0 -----(3)

Subtract equation (1) from equation (3)

(4x - 5y + 16) - (4x + 2y - 12) = 0

4x - 5y + 16 - 4x - 2y + 12 = 0

-7y + 28 = 0

-7y = -28

y = -28/-7 = 4

Putting this value of y in Equation (2)

4x + 2y - 12 = 0

4x + 8 - 12 = 0

4x = 4

x = 4/4 = 1

By substitution method--->

From equation (2), y = 6-2x -------(4)

Putting this value in equation (1)

4x - 5y + 16 = 0

4x - 5(6-2x)+16 = 0

4x - 30 + 10x + 16 = 0

14x - 14 = 0

x = 1

Putting this value in equation (4)

y = 6-2x

y = 6 - 2(1)

y = 4

Hope it helps you.
