7x-5/2x = 1/1    [ if no fraction is given take as 1/1

1(7x-5) = 1(2x)                           [  { cross multiplication } multiply first fraction                                                         numerator to second denominator and         7x-5 = 2x                                       second to first ]

7x -2x = 5

5x = 5

x = 5/5 = 1
