\dfrac{x}{3} \:+\:1\:=\: \dfrac{7}{5}

Multiply both the sides by 15

➾ 5x + 15 = 21

Move constant to the right

➾ 5x = 21 - 15

Subtract the numbers

➾ 5x = 6

Divide both the sides by 5

➾ x = \dfrac{6}{5} or 1.2

∴ The value of x is \green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\textsf{1.2}}}}}}

Verification :

\dfrac{1.2}{3} \:+\:1\:=\: \dfrac{7}{5}

Divide and convert fraction into decimal

➾ 0.4 + 1 = 1.4

Add the numbers

➾ 1.4 = 1.4

∴ LHS = RHS ✔✔
