solve the equation x+y=5 and 2x_3y=4 ​

Answer:

x + y = 5 ......(1)

and

2x - 3y = 4 .......(2)

multiply ...(1) by 3 then add both the eqns..

we get

5x = 15 + 4

5x = 19

x = 19/5

now multiply ...(1) by 2 then subtract both the eqns

we get

5y = 6

y = 6/5
