x + y = 5
x = 5-y .........1
2x-3y = 4
put eq.1
2(5-y) - 3y =4
10 - 2y -3y = 4
10- 5y = 4
6 = 5y
y = 6/5
put this in 1
x= 5-y
x= 5-6/5
x= 19/ 5
hope it helps u

2x - 3 (5- x) = 4
2x -15 + 3x = 4
