Given -

4(x - 2) = 8

We have to find out the value of x

Multiply 4 by bracket we get,

4x - 8 = 8

Shift -8 to right it becomes +8

4x = 8 + 8

4x = 16

Divide both sides by 4 we get

x = 4

Hence,

The value of the x is 4.

In accordance with the information provided in the question,

We have find the value of the supplied expression in the above question.

Given the data in question   4(x-2)=-8

Arrange the equation 4x-8=-8

Hence, for solving the above equation, we will solve it by separating the like terms at one side.

So, we will shift -8 from LHS to RHS,

So, we will get it as,

\Rightarrow 4x-8=-8\\\Rightarrow 4x=-8+8\\\Rightarrow 4x=0\\\Rightarrow x=\frac{0}{4} \\\Rightarrow x=0

Hence the required answer will be 0 (zero).
