here is your answer..

4x - 3y =-2 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••(i)

2x -y = -6••••••••••••••••••••••••••••(ii)

multiply by 2 in equation,so that coeff. of x in equation (ii) will be equal to equation (i)

therefore, new equation will be-

4x -2y= -12

subtracting equation ii from (i)

4x - 3y = -2

4x - 2y = -12

y = - 10

putting the value of y in equation (ii)

2x - (-10) = -6

x= -8
