x2 - 5x + 5 = 0
-5x = -2xy
5 = 2 y
y2 = 5/2
y2 = 25 /4

x2 -5x -25/4 +25/4 +5 =0
(x - 5/2)^2 + 25 /4+5 =0
(x - 5/2)^2 + 25 /4 + 20/ 4=0
( x - 5/2)^2 + 45 / 4=0
(x - 5/2 )^2 + ( underoot 45/ 2 )^2=0
(x-5/2+underoot45 /2)(x-5/2 -underoot 45/2)=0

x- 5/2+ underroot45/2=0
x - 5 + under root 45/2
× = 5 + under root 45 /2
OR
x - 5/2- under root 45 /2=0
×= 5- under root 45/2

therefore 5 + under root 45 / 2 OR 5- under root 45 / 2 are the roots of given equation
