Solve the equations by the method of
elimination x + 3y = 6 and 2x - 3y = 12.
- X + 3y = 6 -----equ(¡)
- 2x - 3y = 12 ------eq(¡¡)
multiply eq (¡) by 2
we get,
→ 2x + 6y = 12
- now subtract both eq
→ 2x + 6y = 12
→
→ 9y = 0
→ y = 0
- y = 0 substitiute in eq (¡)
→ x + 3y = 6
→ x +3 × 0 = 6
→ x=6
- X = 6
- Y = 0
