\bf{\underline{Question:-}}

Solve the equations by the method of

elimination x + 3y = 6 and 2x - 3y = 12.

\bf{\underline{Given:-}}

  • X + 3y = 6 -----equ(¡)
  • 2x - 3y = 12 ------eq(¡¡)

\bf{\underline{Solution:-}}

multiply eq (¡) by 2

we get,

→ 2x + 6y = 12

  • now subtract both eq

→ 2x + 6y = 12

\sf{\underline{ _-2x-_+ 3y=_-12}}

→ 9y = 0

→ y = 0

  • y = 0 substitiute in eq (¡)

x + 3y = 6

→ x +3 × 0 = 6

→ x=6

\bf{\underline{Hence:-}}

  • X = 6
  • Y = 0
