Solve the equations: (i) x² - (x-1)² = 2; (ii) (x-4)(2x+3)=2x²​

(i) {x}^{2}  -  {(x - 1)}^{2}  = 2 \\  {x }^{2}  - ( {x}^{2}  - 2x + 1) = 2

Since,

 {(x - y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  - 2xy +  {y}^{2}

 {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  + 2x - 1 = 2 \\ 2x - 1 = 2 \\ 2x = 2 + 1 \\ 2x = 3 \\ <strong>x =  \frac{3}{2}</strong>
