Given :-

The area of a trapezium is 34 cm square and it's height is 4 cm one of the parallel sides of the trapezium is 10 cm

To Find :-

Other parallel side

Solution :-

We know that

⇒ Area = 1/2 × (a + b) × h

Let the other parallel side be b

⇒ 34 = 1/2 × (10 + b) × 4

⇒ 34 = 2(10 + b)

⇒ 34 = 20 + 2b

⇒ 34 - 20 = 2b

⇒ 14 = 2b

⇒ 14/2 = b

⇒ 7 = b

∴ Other parallel side is 7 cm
