Answer:

m = 1/5 , n = 1

Solution:

The given equations are :

10m + 2n = 4 --------(1)

15m - 5n = -2 --------(2)

Now,

Multiplying eq-(1) by 5 , we get ;

=> 5•(10m + 2n) = 5•4

=> 50m + 10n = 20 -------(3)

Also,

Multiplying eq-(2) by 2 , we get;

=> 2•(15m - 5n) = 2•(-2)

=> 30m - 10n = -4 --------(4)

Now,

Adding eq-(3) and (4) , we get ;

=> 50m + 10n + 30m - 10n = 20 + (-4)

=> 50m + 30m = 20 - 4

=> 80m = 16

=> m = 16/80

=> m = 1/5

Now,

Putting m = 1/5 in eq-(1) , we have ;

=> 10m + 2n = 4

=> 10×(1/5) + 2n = 4

=> 2 + 2n = 4

=> 2n = 4 - 2

=> 2n = 2

=> n = 2/2

=> n = 1

Hence,

m = 1/5

n = 1
