Step-by-step explanation:

3 ( X + 2 ) - 2( X - 1 ) = 7

Here , We multiple X and 2 by 3 and X and 1 by 2 , we get

3 × X = 3X and 3 × 2 = 6 , 2*X=2X and 2×1 = 2.

So,

3 ( X + 2 ) - 2 ( X - 1 ) = 7

3X + 6 - 2x + 2 = 7

Now Arrange it,

3X - 2X + 6 + 2 = 7

Now , subtract 2x from 3x and add 6 to 2 , we get

3x - 2x = X and 6 + 2 = 8.

X + 8 = 7

Now , Refer 8 to Right hand side .

We know that when we refer any number from right hand side to left hand side or left hand side to Right hand side , then the sides get changed of that number from (+) to (-) , (-) to (+) , (×) to (÷) and (÷) to (× ) .

Here,

We are referring +8 to Right hand side , so it will become -8 on right hand side.

Therefore,

X + 8 = 7

X = 7 - 8

X = -1.

Hope it will help you :)
