  • Now, there's a thing in mathematics which is undefined till date, i.e. , division by zero. So while solving relations, it is prohibited to multiply both sides or divide by 0. The reason being, it simply makes math go crazy.

  • Notice the transition from step 4 to 5. We divide both sides by (a−b). Now recall that in step 1, you specified a=b. Woah! A big flaw!

 \sf \fbox {My  \: Argument}

 \sf \: a=b

 \sf {a}^{2} =ab

 \sf {a}^{2} − {b}^{2} =ab− {b}^{2}

 \sf(a+b)(a−b)=b(a−b),

 \bf \boxed {given  (a−b)≠0 }

  • But it is equal to 0! (This is the exclamatory symbol, not at all the Factorial) So this is where you break down.

  • Even if you're not so alert while doing this and carry your algebra on with this loophole, you might get to this in the 5th step,

 \sf \: a+b=b

 \sf \: a=0⟹b=0⟹(a−b)=0

  • Even when you do wrong with math, it still tries to help you correct your mistake!

 \sf \fbox{Prove  \: That- LHS=RHS}

  • Multiply both sides by 0,

 \sf \fbox{0 \: = \: 0}
