Given two sides of the triangle are 12cm and 14cm

 the perimeter of triangle =36cm

Let the length of the third side =acm

the perimeter of triangle = sum of the length of sides of the triangle.

Accoreding to problem,

12+14+a=36

 ⇒26+a=36

 ⇒a=36−26

 ⇒a=10

∴ length of the third side of triangle =10cm
