The answer is 74 x 6 = 444. 

a = 7 and b = 4. 

All even numbers in the form 'bbb' is divisible by 6. 

Here the ones digit of 1/6 of the three digit number and the digits of three digit number should be equal. 

Check as bbb = 222. 

222 / 6 = 37

The digits of three digit no. is 2 and the ones digit of its one-sixth is 7. So this is not the answer. 

Let bbb be 444. 

444 / 6 = 74. 

The digits of the three digit no. is 4 and the ones digit of its one-sixth is 4. So this is the answer. 

If we check as bbb = 666, we get 666 / 6 = 111. So bbb = 666 and 888 are impossible.
