 - 6x =  \frac{14}{23}  \\ implies - 6x \times 23 = 14 \\ implies \:  - 138x = 14 \\ implies \: x =  \frac{14}{ - 138}  \\ implies \: x =  \frac{7}{ - 69}

Now check

 - 6x    \\   =  - 6 \times  \frac{7}{ - 69}  \\  =   \frac{ - 42}{ - 69 }  \\  =  \frac{14}{23}

So , equation is right
