10p - (3p - 4) = 4(p + 1) + 9
=> 10p - 3p + 4 = 4p + 4 + 9
=> 7p + 4 = 4p + 13
=> 7p - 4p = 13 - 4
=> 3p = 9
=> p = 9/3
=> p = 3
The solution of the equation is p = 3

Check ->

LHS = (10 × 3) - [(3 × 3) - 4] = 30 - [ 9 - 4 ] = 30 - 5 = 25
RHS = 4 (3 + 1) + 9 = 4 × 4 + 9 = 16 + 9 = 25

Therefore, LHS is equal to RHS.
The solution has been checked.
