Given Linear equation in one variable

is 16 - 5x = 6

Subtract 16 both sides of the equation,

we get

=>16 - 16 - 5x = 6 - 16

=> -5x = -10

Divide each term by ( -5 ) ,we get

=> ( -5x )/(-5 ) = ( -10 )/( -5 )

=> x = 2

Therefore ,

x = 2
