Solve the following equation by the trial and error method: \frac {P}{2}+6=9

Method of Solution:

 \frac {P}{2}+6=9

 \frac{p}{2} = 9 - 6 \\ \\ \frac{p}{2} = 3 \\ \\ p = 3 \times 2 \\ = 6
